Photo Album Master List & Instructions – Ontario Provincial Parks Campsite Photos Facebook Group (Alphabetical)

Albums

Dear Group members, we thought we’d make an alphabetical listing of all the Photo Albums you can upload into.

Click through the ‘accordion’ tabs below to find your particular park.

Within the Facebook App itself, the album list is accessible via the [Albums] button on the far right of the menu ribbon, and in a browser Facebook session, the album list is accessible via the [Media] button on the menu ribbon. However, the album list there is chronological, based on the album’s particular creation date.

The albums listed here link back to the Facebook group in which the photos were first posted. The photos are not hosted on this website.

Follow the hyperlinks below for the particular album and use the [+Add Photos] link/button within the Facebook Group’s album to add your photos (or use the Facebook app/session directly).

From a phone, make sure that you open this page from a separate browser and not from within the Facebook app.

Also ensure that the phone browser you choose is logged into the mobile version of Facebook.

When you choose the ‘Mobile’ link, make sure that you press and hold, and then choose “Open in new tab”.

It may seem redundant, but make sure to include the site number and park name (+campground name if applicable) in the description/caption area of each individual photo you upload into the albums.

Reasoning:

  • You generally cannot see the album name when viewing individual photos. We used to get a bunch of “what park is this?” comments.
  • When uploading multiple photos from a phone with a description, FB will sometimes only input the description on the first photo you upload, or not at all.
    • Double check after posting and edit the description/caption if it is missing via the ‘three-dot’ menu on the photo.

Note, recently rebuilt campground albums are highlighted in bold below (multiple campground albums per park are shown with a » prefix).

  • The pictures within the rebuilt albums are numerically sorted up to a certain date and are chronologically sorted after that date.
  • Please continue to upload photos as members appreciate updated current campsite pics.
  • I’ve included maps of the campground (and park/trail maps and Information Guides if available) in the comments section of each album as well as a list of ‘outstanding’ campsite picture requests.

For non-campsite or scenery photos, please use the appropriate “Things Of Interest” regional albums, the “Flora and Fauna” album, “Trail” albums, or the “Day Use” or “Non-Operating Parks” albums.

  • This is to ensure the campsite albums are easier to scroll through.
  • We’ve received feedback in the past that the larger albums were difficult to look through for a particular site while having to scroll though past multiple non-campsite photos.

Legend: 🏕️ indicates Car Camping’, and indicates backcountry’ sites that can be reserved online via the Ontario Parks (or Parks Canada) Reservation site.
